I just recieved a beautiful award from the Maryland Library Association's Children's Services Division. It's a wood carving of the state of Maryland,with a sweet little blue crab in the upper left hand corner and an engraved plaque which reads: Maryland Blue Crab Young Reader Award 2006, Transitional Fiction Special Award, Stinky Stern Forever. Every time I see it, I smile.
